Jamie Alfonso (she/her)
Ms. Jamie loves being a part of the Horizon Hills team as an educator in the two-year-old program, a community that’s especially meaningful to her as both a proud mom of two and a former Horizon Hills parent herself. With a Master’s degree in Education and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSU Long Beach, Jamie brings 12 years of experience in elementary classrooms where she discovered her passion for nurturing curiosity through play-based learning. Outside the classroom, she enjoys exploring nature, reading, and diving into her love of science and animals—interests she weaves into her teaching. Trained in restorative justice practices, Jamie is dedicated to fostering positive, respectful relationships and creating a warm, caring environment for children and families.

Valerie Badica (she/her)
Ms. Valerie earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Adolescent Development and her master’s degree in Educational Psychology from CSUN. As a mom of two, she is deeply passionate about supporting families and nurturing early learning through play, meaningful relationships, and hands-on exploration. With over five years of experience teaching preschool-aged children and leading parent-child classes, Valerie values building strong connections with both children and caregivers in a warm and safe environment. She is thrilled to be a part of the Horizon Hills community and loves supporting families in their parenting journey. Valerie lives in Moorpark with her husband and two young children, who keep her busy with sports and playdates.

Lindsey Cuadra (she/her)
Ms. Lindsey is a dedicated early childhood educator with over 20 years of experience, holding a degree in Early Childhood Education from CSUN. She has worked extensively at the Moorpark College Child Development Center with toddlers through Pre-K and served as a mentor teacher in parent and adult education. Lindsey is passionate about the vital role parents play in shaping their children’s futures and is drawn to parent education for its power to strengthen family dynamics through a deeper understanding of child development. Outside of her professional life, Lindsey enjoys hiking, going to the beach, coaching youth sports, and spending time with her husband and two children.of Marketing

Anne Dyer
Ms. Anne brings six years of experience teaching preschool-aged children and a deep passion for parent education. With a background in dance and a love for music and movement, she brings energy and joy to her classroom each day. Before entering early childhood education, Anne worked in the fashion industry and has experienced parenting from all angles—full-time work, part-time work, and staying at home. She believes these experiences give her empathy and insight as she partners with families in their parenting journeys. Anne lives with her husband and two children, who keep her busy with sports, travel, and plenty of laughter. She’s thrilled to be a part of the Horizon Hills community and create a warm, supportive space for both children and parents to grow.

Meghan Elmore (she/her)
Ms. Meghan is a passionate Parent Educator who began her Horizon Hills journey as a parent with her newborn. She joined the staff as a ceramics teacher in 2018 and became a 3-5 year old teacher in 2021. Meghan brings warmth, empathy, and a deep understanding of early childhood development to every class. She’s dedicated to supporting families through the joys and challenges of parenting, helping them build stronger connections through trust and compassion. Her classroom is a safe space where parents can reflect, ask questions, and grow alongside their children. As both an educator and a mom, Meghan believes in the power of play, repair, and curiosity to help families thrive.

Dana Harris (she/they)
Teacher Dana is an educator, poet, and unapologetic glitter enthusiast who joined the Horizon Hills Parenting Program in 2008 and has been supporting children and families ever since. They hold a BA in Child and Adolescent Development from CSUN, an Early Childhood Special Education credential, and an Adult Education credential in Parenting and Child Development. As a certified Outdoor Classroom Teacher, Dana believes some of the best learning happens with muddy hands, bubble wands, bug hunts, and a healthy dose of curiosity. Dana calls Newbury Park home, where she lives with her partner, an eclectic crew of pets, and a revolving cast of young adults. They believe the best days end with sandy feet, salty air, and a little wonder. Dana’s philosophy of child development and parenting is rooted in connection. They believe children learn best through play, presence, and genuine curiosity. Her goal is to help parents feel confident by offering practical tools they can weave into everyday moments, creating stronger relationships and joyful learning along the way.

Angie Pineda (she/her)
Ms. Angie holds a degree in Child Development with a minor in Psychology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and has been part of the Horizon Hills community for over a decade—as both a parent and an educator. She brings a deep understanding of early childhood development and a passion for supporting families in their parenting journey. Angie has taught and substituted in our 3–5 year old classrooms and is known for her calm presence and thoughtful guidance. She believes in the power of play, connection, and teaching lifelong skills that children carry with them. Angie grew up in Simi Valley and now lives there with her husband Louie and their three children. Outside the classroom, she loves camping, reading, and discovering new places with her family.

Meaghan Snider(she/her)
Ms. Meg is a community licensed midwife. She has a passion for empowering mothers and supporting them as they grow, birth and raise up compassionate humans. She also trains postpartum doulas and teaches postpartum cooking classes. She is an Ayurvedic practitioner and Certified Herbalist. She has a great appreciation for her start at Horizon Hills with her children(now teens).

Tiffany Stelmar (she/her)
Ms. Tiffany brings warmth, encouragement, and a deep passion for supporting families to the Horizon Hills community. A Certified Professional Postpartum Doula with a degree in Interpersonal Communication Studies, Tiffany has long been invested in the earliest years of childhood and the importance of connection. Before entering parent education, Tiffany worked as a video producer for SoulPancake, a feel-good content studio centered on meaningful storytelling. She first came to Horizon Hills as a parent four years ago after being introduced to the program by her mother-in-law, Ms. Kathy, who taught here for 35 years. As a mom of two young children, Tiffany is passionate about helping parents find support, build confidence, and create community during the early parenting years.
